What is a sex doll?

How are the dolls shipped?

Our sex dolls are delivered via DHL, PostNord, UPS, or Schenker, depending on the delivery location. Standard delivery time is 2–4 business days for items we have in stock in stock.

For sex dolls that we do not have in stock in stock or dolls with a custom appearance, the doll must be manufactured at the factory upon order. The standard production time for TPE dolls is about 1 week, and for silicone dolls it’s about 3 weeks. Delivery time from the manufacturer in China is typically around 3–5 weeks.

The doll is carefully and discreetly packaged in a large cardboard box. The doll’s brand and our store name are not visible on the packaging.

Of course, you’re also welcome to purchase a doll in person at our store in Borlänge (Sweden). Or you can order a doll and pick it up from us after it’s been delivered. It’s common for customers, for various reasons, to be unable to receive a delivery at their home and therefore need the doll delivered to another location.

You can also pay using Klarna's payment solutions "Pay Later" or "Pay in Installments." NOTE! Currently unavailable: Klarna does not allow dolls under 148 cm. We will never exclude these dolls from our store.

Are the dolls as pretty as they look in the pictures?

Absolutely! Many dolls are even more beautiful in person. For us at Docklandet, it’s very important that you, as a customer, get an accurate impression of the product before placing an order. We don’t use product photos that are “over-edited,” and we never, ever use inaccurate or misleading product photos (which, unfortunately, is quite common in this industry).

In our section with factory photos, you can view images of unstyled, “naked” dolls manufactured for us or for our customers. We also have many photos of dolls from our showrooms.

If you’d like to see more photos of a sex doll, we can always take photos or videos of the ones we have in stock in stock. We also have the manufacturers’ own factory photos available for most of the dolls in our selection.

Do you always have SALE in stock?

In short, yes! All dolls in our selection are priced at the lowest possible price set by the manufacturer. Neither we nor any other store is allowed to sell them for less than that.

We also run ongoing promotions on various brands. Many brands offer great deals that include, for example, an extra head or upgrades. However, this does not apply to all doll brands.

Our prices are always set at the lowest price allowed by the brand or manufacturer. The regular price of the dolls is based either on the prices the brand lists in its own store or on what the doll might cost at a typical sex toy store.

We also have a few special deals unique to our store. With certain dolls, several upgrades are included as standard (these extras cost extra at other stores). For the popular brand WM-Doll, an extra head is always included when you shop at Docklandet.

What’s the difference between sex doll and Real Doll?

Real doll is another term for sex doll. In Sweden, many sex toy stores refer to their dolls as Real doll. Real Doll is therefore the same thing as a sex doll.

Real doll is a common term in many countries, especially in Sweden and the rest of Europe. We’ve chosen not to use that word very often in our store, for two different reasons.

First and foremost, we’re a Swedish store, and we naturally want to use Swedish words and expressions as often as possible. Second, Real Doll is actually a brand name—that is, a doll brand—and not just a generic term. Real Doll is an American company and one of the few doll manufacturers based outside of China. All of our dolls at Docklandet can be called "real doll’s,” but they are, of course, not from the American brand Real Doll.

A doll from the brand Real Doll costs around 130,000 SEK, has a production time of over a year, and is also a bit of a hassle to import from the U.S. These dolls are sold exclusively in the factory’s own store, primarily to American customers. On the other hand, we’re proud to say that our silicone dolls from brands such as Tayu, Real Lady, FanReal, or Zelex are of comparable (and sometimes even better) quality than American Real Doll. And at a fraction of the price they charge. Feel free to ask us more about this if you’re unsure about the different brands and pricing/price ranges.

Otherwise, real doll is actually a pretty good term for these beautiful, realistic dolls, but unfortunately, the Swedish translation “riktig doll" doesn’t sound as good. The term "sex doll," which we primarily use for these dolls, is unfortunately quite misleading, since these dolls are also used for much more than just sex.

Things to Consider Before Making a Purchase

This is an exclusive premium product and a relatively expensive one at that. Our sex dolls typically range in price from 5,000 SEK to as high as 30,000 SEK. We also carry dolls in the price range all the way up to 60,000 SEK. In general, silicone dolls are more expensive than TPE dolls, and the doll’s size has a fairly significant impact on the price. 

A sex doll is designed and manufactured in several stages, partly by hand, and the manufacturing process typically takes 1–3 weeks depending on the material, model, and brand. All dolls are manufactured in factories in China, and delivery time from there to the EU is at least 1 month. However, as mentioned, we also have many dolls in stock in our own warehouses. 

Unfortunately, there are many unscrupulous sellers offering sex dolls. It’s common for misleading images to be used for counterfeit dolls, which are then sold at inflated prices. We’ve had several customers report to us that they bought dolls from other stores believing they’d receive what was shown in the product images, only to receive a cheap knockoff instead. 

Of course, there are also many reputable sellers. Virtually all major international stores are Chinese (though they have English-language websites). If you buy a sex doll directly from an Asian store, European or American consumer protection laws do not apply, and you have no right of withdrawal or return. But of course, you do have these rights with Docklandet. We’re a Swedish company, fully established in Sweden, and we care deeply about our customers and our good reputation.
